Happy Sunday!

Yesterday we spent the day running all over town.  Went to my parents to celebrate Brianna’s birthday with them, since Mom can not leave the house because of her surgery.  Then we headed up to Bloomington, MN to go to Sam’s Club and the finally to Target to pick up prescriptions and grocery shop.  Finally, we went “Frattalones” on Grand Avenue and bought our Christmas Tree.

The worse part was getting everything into the house.  We could not move in the house with all of the stuff we had sitting all over.

Well today (Sunday) we cleaned out a bunch of the totes full of unnecessary and non working things, started decorating, and put away all of the things we do not need for this Christmas.  As soon as the tree settles, we will decorate it!  Hope you are having fun.  Enjoy that holidays.

Have a Happy Day!

Happy Saturday!

Well it is the 7th of December and we have been up for about 20 minutes now.  In three days my baby turns 17.  Wow I am getting old.  Last night we were getting ready to go out to dinner, and she actually told me I looked cute!  Yeah, she can finally understand fashion is not all about the latest looks, but the combination of them to make you happy.

We started taking out the Christmas decorations, OMG we have lost tons of things over the years.  Sadly we are missing some of the beautiful ornaments I bought when she was younger in pinks and pastels, because she just liked them.  But we move forward and buy new things.

Have a great day!Image

I don’t really know what it is, maybe it’s the wintry temps (which are almost non-existent in So Cal) or the still very exciting honeymoon period of being in a new city, maybe it’s the fact that this is the first year that we have the opportunity to start our own family traditions, or the anticipation of our new addition coming soon – whatever it is, there’s something really magical about the holidays this year.

Over the years, Evan and I have adopted a new outlook on gift giving. Instead of over-spending or over-giving, we tend to focus on one special gift for each person in our lives (ourselves included) and anything additional is almost always homemade. We call these true gifts (a name…
